Twenty days before her wedding, Ellie overhears her fiancé Nate sharing an intimate moment with his childhood friend Serena and discovers a revealing deleted message. Instead of accepting another apology or remaining second to someone else, Ellie leaves their mountain trip in a storm, cuts contact, and discards the life they planned together. While Nate still expects her to appear at the church, Ellie boards a southbound train and begins a future in which she is no longer anyone’s backup choice.
