Scholarship player Jesse loses the captain’s position to rival quarterback Knox and decides to uncover his weakness. In Knox’s locker, he finds a love letter describing someone with black curls, blue eyes, and a stubborn streak. Jesse vows to identify the mystery girl first, but every clue leads nowhere. Sharing a room and helping Knox through an injured hand gradually changes their rivalry. The possibility Jesse never considered is that the letter may have been written about him.
